Built in our shop, to your spec
Not every job needs the truck. When a part can come to us, in-house fabrication gives controlled conditions: proper fit-up on a flat welding table, stands and clamps to hold everything true, time to check measurements, and clean finishing. The result is a part that fits the first time.
You can bring a print, a hand sketch with measurements, a broken original to copy, or just a description of the problem. Berto's will help work out a practical design that's strong enough for the job without being overbuilt.
What we fabricate
- Brackets, mounts, base plates and equipment frames
- Gates, handrails, guardrails and fence panels
- Stair stringers and structural brackets
- Truck and trailer racks, deck components and tool box mounts
- Aluminum stands, racks and frames (see aluminum TIG welding)
- Stainless fabrication for food service and industrial use (see stainless steel TIG)
- Grates, covers and access hatches
- Vehicle chassis and frame work
Every one of those categories has a real example in our work gallery.

Steel, stainless and aluminum
Mild and carbon steel is the workhorse for frames, brackets, gates and structural parts. Stainless suits food service, wet areas and anywhere corrosion or cleanliness matters. Aluminum is the pick when weight counts, such as truck racks, marine parts and portable stands. Each material needs a different approach to cutting, fit-up and heat, and Berto's uses the right process for the material and the job.
How a fabrication job runs
- Share the details. Drawings, sketches, photos, measurements, quantity and the finish you need.
- We talk it through. Berto's reviews the design, suggests changes if something will be weak or hard to build, and gives you a clear picture of the time involved.
- Cut, fit, check, weld. Parts are cut and fitted, measurements are checked before final welding, and welds are cleaned up to suit the finish.
- Pickup or install. Collect the finished piece, or pair it with a mobile welding visit to fit it on site.
Booking and rates
In-house custom fabrication is billed by the hour, and online bookings are made in 1-hour blocks. Not sure how long your job will take? Book the closest option and add a note, or call 778-918-5581 first. For larger production runs or site work alongside the fabrication, ask about crews of up to 15 certified welders.
