Pressure pipe work led by a Red Seal A Class welder

Pressure piping has to be welded by properly qualified people, and the welds have to hold up to inspection and testing. Berto's pressure pipe work is led by a Red Seal A Class Pressure Pipe Welder with 18 years in the trade across BC, Alberta and Saskatchewan, and Berto's is CWB certified. That experience covers commercial high-rise mechanical rooms, industrial plants and large-diameter field pipe.

We work with mechanical contractors, general contractors and facility owners who need pipe welded correctly and on schedule.

Field pipe welding

A lot of pipe can only be welded where it's installed. Our field work includes:

  • Mechanical rooms in commercial and residential towers
  • Overhead runs in parkades and service corridors
  • Rooftop equipment piping, tanks and connections
  • Large-diameter carbon steel pipe in trenches and on site
  • Plant and process piping in industrial facilities
  • Tie-ins, modifications and repairs to existing systems

The mobile rig brings its own engine-driven welder, so field work can start without waiting on temporary power.

Spool fabrication

Prefabricating pipe spools moves as much welding as possible into a controlled set-up. Spools are laid out on pipe stands, fitted, checked against the drawings and welded with good access to every joint. On site, the work becomes mostly fit-up and a smaller number of field welds, which helps keep the install moving.

Typical systems

Common work includes heating and cooling water piping, process lines and plant piping, and large-diameter carbon steel runs. Every system is different. Tell us what you're working on, the pipe sizes and materials, and the drawings or specs you're working to, and we'll talk through how Berto's can help.

Crews for project work

Mechanical projects rarely need just one welder for one day. Berto's can supply crews of up to 15 certified welders, so you can scale up for a busy phase or a shutdown without coordinating several separate subcontractors. Call 778-918-5581 to plan crew size and timing.

Booking

Pressure pipe welding and spool fabrication are booked by the hour online. For project work, call first so we can talk through scope, schedule and site requirements. Pricing is job-dependent.

Where we work

We take pipe work across the Lower Mainland, with plenty of commercial and industrial construction in Vancouver, Burnaby, Coquitlam and Surrey. See all service areas.

Pressure Pipe FAQ

Who does the pressure pipe welding?

Can you supply welders for a larger mechanical project?

Yes. Berto's can supply crews of up to 15 certified welders for commercial and industrial projects. Call to plan crew size and timing.
