Old city, new work
New Westminster is one of the oldest cities in BC, and it shows in the mix of welding work: older buildings that need repairs and upgrades, a riverfront that keeps changing, industrial land in Queensborough, and new towers downtown and in Sapperton. Because New West borders Burnaby, it's one of the closest cities to our base.
Typical welding jobs in New Westminster
- Older buildings: repairs to existing steel railings, stairs, gates and brackets, and new steel for renovations. If the work is engineered, we weld to the drawings and details you provide.
- Queensborough and riverfront industry: equipment repairs, brackets and mounts, and maintenance work, plus dockside work on the Fraser where the truck can get close.
- New towers and commercial buildings: mechanical pressure pipe welding and structural fixes on site.
- Homes and multi-family buildings: gates, railings, fences and security bars.
Repair or replace?
Older steel often has plenty of life left in it. Berto's will look at rusted or broken railings, stairs and brackets and tell you honestly whether a repair makes sense or whether a new piece from our shop is the better choice.
How mobile welding works in New Westminster
- Call or book online. Tell us what needs welding and where, and send photos if you can.
- We confirm the details. We check access and parking, which can be tight on New West's hills and older streets, and confirm the booking.
- The rig arrives and we weld. We set up close to the work, weld it in place and walk you through the result.
Mobile welding has a 4-hour minimum. Pricing is job-dependent; call 778-918-5581. For larger projects, Berto's can supply crews of up to 15 certified welders.
